about the tour

This tour is perfect for anyone looking to soak up the natural beauty of Imereti, try something new, and spend a day packed with adventure and great vibes. The main event is the via ferrata, but we've got other cool spots lined up too—like the Katskhi Pillar and a hidden wild waterfall.
Difficulty: we'll be hitting several short trails during the trip. The path to the small waterfall is super easy with a couple of river crossings.
The trail to the big waterfall is a bit longer and steeper, but still totally manageable.
About the via ferrata: it’s a rock section equipped with metal rungs and a safety cable system to make climbing easy. It’s not technically difficult—it feels like climbing a ladder—but you get the thrill of being a real rock climber. Not recommended if you have a serious fear of heights. You can skip the via ferrata if you prefer; in that case, the tour price is 100 GEL lower.

What you'll see on the route

Tbilisi → Katskhi Pillar → via ferrata → waterfall
Our first stop is a place that feels almost unreal — Katskhi Pillar.
A monk named Maxime lives in total isolation atop this narrow 130-foot rock. We’ll hike up a trail to catch the best view of the pillar from above.
*Climbing up to the monk’s dwelling is not allowed.

From there, we head to the Sveri climbing camp. We’ll grab some tea, gear up, and go tackle the rocky via ferrata – a 160-foot climb on a protected route with safety cables. Along the way, we’ll pass through a cave, and at the top, swings over the cliffs are waiting for us.
Right after the ferrata, we’ll head to a waterfall.

*The campsite has showers, so you can freshen up after the climb. There’s also a kitchen where you can make coffee, tea, or heat up your food.
