09:00 — Departure from Tbilisi
Heading to Kakheti, to the Chavchavadze estate, where we start our hike.
11:00 — Hike Start
The route follows the scenic banks of the Kisiskhevi River.
12:30 — Ancient Church in the Woods
Mysterious ruins surrounded by trees. We'll take a break here for a light snack.
13:30 — River Fording
We cross the river and climb up to an old church whose name translates as "Forest Church."
14:30 — Exploring Cave Cells
An ancient monastic dwelling that you can climb up to if you're feeling adventurous.
15:30 — Return to Kisiskhevi Village
Finishing the loop along the other side of the river.
16:30 — Optional: Dinner in Kvareli
For those interested — a trip to a cozy restaurant for some shashlik and Kakhetian wine.
18:00 — Heading back to Tbilisi
20:00 — Back in the city
