We’ll kick off our journey at Dzudzuana Cave. This is the real deal: no fancy lights, railings, or paved paths. Just silence, cool air, and the realization that the world's oldest woven thread was found right here. It feels like stepping into a real archaeological expedition.
Next up is a place that looks almost surreal — Katskhi Pillar.
A 40-meter limestone monolith where a monk named Maxime lives in total solitude at the top. We’ll hike up a trail to catch the best view of the pillar from above.
*Climbing up to the monk's cell is not allowed.
From there, we head to the Sveri climbing camp. We’ll grab some tea, gear up, and tackle the rocky via ferrata — a 50-meter climb on a secured route with safety cables. We’ll pass through a cave along the way, and at the finish line, swings over the cliffs are waiting for us. Right after the ferrata, we’ll head to a nearby waterfall.
In the evening, we’ll hang out by the campfire and recharge.
*The campsite has proper showers, so you can freshen up after the via ferrata. There’s also a kitchen where you can brew coffee, have tea, or heat up food.
