Ancient ports and necropolises
The ruins of the ancient Lycian harbour of Kalabantia right at the water's edge and the ancient sarcophagi of Lycia.
A classic coastal trek, travelling light, along the most scenic stretches of the Lycian Way, with nights in atmospheric guesthouses and hot lunches at panoramic spots.
The Lycian Way is one of the most picturesque and contrasting trekking routes in the world, linking the turquoise bays of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas with the spurs of the Taurus Mountains.
We will walk the route light, with small day packs and at a comfortable pace, without heavy tents or sleeping bags. Ahead of us are the abandoned ghost town of Kayakoy, the panoramas of the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz, the wild bays of Kabak and Cennet, the high trails of the "Seven Capes" massif and the golden dunes of the 18-kilometre Patara beach.
During the day we cook hot lunches at scenic passes, and in the evenings we stay in authentic family pensions for home-cooked dinners and tea.
