Hike program
Heading out from Tbilisi
We meet at 8:30 AM near the 300 Aragveli metro station and head toward Eagle Canyon. The drive takes about 2-2.5 hours.
Descending into the gorge
Grab your packs from the car and let's head down into the gorge. This is where the real fun begins. First, we'll tackle a bunch of vertical ladders and steep trails. We'll cross over a waterfall and scramble over rocks. Expect several rope descents with safety gear and river crossings. The scenery is wild: vines, creepers, massive boulders, cliffs, and the sound of rushing water below.
This part of the trek is only 6 kilometers long, but it'll take us 3 to 5 hours to navigate. High-energy vibes guaranteed :)
Lunch by the lake
After clearing all the obstacles, we'll finally climb out of the gorge into the forest to a small lake for some hot tea.
Heading back to Tbilisi
Around 7 PM, we'll start making our way back to Tbilisi.

Route highlights
We use climbing safety gear for the tricky sections
You won't need SPF or wind protection here. The canyon is shady and calm.
We don't go to Eagle Canyon in rainy weather—it gets super slippery and dangerous.
Better to leave the dog at home. We've tried it, but it's not much fun for anyone :)
Check your footwear. Non-slip soles only, otherwise you'll be sliding on your butt the whole time.
You might get your feet wet at the river crossings, so bring extra socks and spare shoes.
